The Yeonmujang Lamp is inspired by the red bricks commonly used in Korean architecture during the 1970s and 1980s. Once a practical and affordable building material, red bricks shaped the visual landscape of the era through their various stacking methods and details. Today, they remain an architectural symbol that connects the past and present in neighborhoods like Seongsu-dong.
This lamp reinterprets the structural beauty and layering of brickwork through 3D printing. With a simple silhouette, it captures rhythm and contrast through repetitive patterns and color variation, offering a lighting object that reflects a contemporary take on Korean design sensibilities.
